Another large telescope for the South African Astronomical Observatory (SAAO). An 1m F/8 Alt-Az mounted Ritchey Chrétien for robotic use. It has dual Nasmyth Foci. The main telescopes used for research are located at the SAAO observing station (32°22.795’S 20°48,657’E) near Sutherland in the Northern Cape, a 4-hour drive from Cape Town.

BA0027B 1This adapter enables you to attach the eShel FIGU, Alpy 600, LISA or UVEX instruments to a Schmidt-Cassegrain (Meade or Celestron) telescope (or any instrument with a 2″ thread).
On one side there is a T-mount male thread (M42x0,75mm), and on the other side a ring with a 2″ (50.8mm) female thread.
This adapter is also suitable for instruments used with the classical 0.63x focal reducer.
